Rules, Regulations, and General Information
We've established the following General Campground Guidelines to help insure your safety and your enjoyment as well as the safety and enjoyment of others. Those who choose not to observe these guidelines will be asked to leave Clinch River Family Campground (Camp Clinch) without any form of refund.
Check-In / Check-Out: Check-In time is 3 p.m. (EST) and Check-Out time is 12 noon (EST)
Payments: The total amount due for your reservation will be taken (as a deposit) at the time a reservation is booked. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
The Extra Guest Fee is part of your Camping fee. We find it to be the fairest way to price Campsites for different size groups and it includes all the facilities our Campground has to offer.
Cancellations: Campsites: We will return your deposit minus a $20 service charge if you cancel EIGHT (8) or more days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel SEVEN (7) days or less of your arrival date you will be charged 1 nights stay at your site rate, Cancellations within 48 hrs of reservation will not be refunded.
NO SHOWS: Guests failing to contact us to cancel their reservation (within the required time, listed above) will be considered a 'NO SHOW'. 'NO SHOWS' are subject to the same cancellation policies.
Cancellations can only be made by phone. Email cancellations will be treated as a NO SHOW.
Pets: are welcome, but must be kept on leashes (max. of 6 ft. in length) or inside at all times and must not be left unattended. No excessive barking allowed. Pets must be walked by a responsible person who must pick up after them immediately. Persons who do not clean up after their pets will be fined $25.00 per offense. Pets are not allowed in Clinch River Family Campground buildings. Pets are not allowed in or near any buildings, bathrooms, or playground areas. They are prohibited due to health codes.
Ground Disposal of any drain water (gray or black) is prohibited by State Law. Wastewater from RVs (including sink water) must be disposed of into sewer drains. Do not put grease down the sewer.
Sewer Connections are required by State Law and MUST HAVE a tight seal by a Sewer Donut (or Sewer Ring) or a screw-type connector.
Camping is an outdoor experience; therefore we do not give refunds due to acts of God, Mother Nature, or any other reasons out of human control.
The Management reserves the right to refuse service, limit the length of stay and the number of persons or vehicles per site and/or evict any person or party without refund
Additional Day Guest Use: Please see the Camp Host. Guests must pay a guest fee and the total number of people per site cannot exceed 8. Cost for visitors ages 5 and up is $3 per day. Children under 5 are free. ALL visitors must REGISTER with Camp Host and will be given a wristband to wear while at the campground.
Boat Launch is available free of charge. However, parking of vehicle and use of the camp facilities requires a day guest use wristband at $3 per person per day.
Campground Speed Limit is 5 MPH
Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Bikes are welcome at Clinch River Family Campground, but be aware that many roads are gravel and we do not have designated biking trails.
Cell Phone service may not be available as we are located in a remote area of Scott County. Phone service is available in our office during business hours, see Camp Host.
Please note that the trip on Anglers Way Road (State Rte 625) is 7 miles along the Clinch River and has narrow and curvy areas. Anglers Way Road is paved for 6 of the 7 miles with the remaining mile being gravel. Please drive carefully.
The closest grocery store is approximately 11 miles from the campground. Please plan accordingly.
Swimming in the river is at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
Please place trash in receptacles provided throughout the campground.
